Dear Valued Customers:
To crack down on counterfeiting, China Customs has frequently conducted strict inspections on air and sea cargo to prohibit the export of counterfeit goods to protect the country’s intellectual property rights. The affected channels are China to Malaysia and China to Singapore air and sea freight channels.
The customs mainly targeted the export of counterfeit brands, offensive weapons, intellectual property rights, prohibited items, etc. Under this action, the officer will confiscate the violated goods on the spot. According to the “Regulations of the People’s Republic of China on the Implementation of Customs Administrative Penalties”, the fine for the illegal export of counterfeit goods can be up to 1 million RMB.
(*For reference only, the specific punishment and legal liability shall be subject to the customs notice at that time)
MyPoz advises all customers not to use the general cargo channel to ship counterfeit brand goods. Otherwise, the consequences will be at their own risk. During this period, the warehouse staff will assist with detaining the relevant parcels, and change to a channel with a lower inspection probability- GDex-sensitive tax-included air freight channel/sea freight-sensitive channel
Due to the large volume of parcels that are inbound every day, the warehouse staff might miss some, and if this leads to the parcels being inspected, all consequences will be borne by the customer. Therefore, MyPoz urged customers to avoid shipping counterfeit goods recently.
