Prohibiting All Infringed and Counterfeit Goods from Exporting to Overseas

Dear Valued Customers:

China Customs officially launched the “Long Teng Operation 2021” (Note 1), prohibiting the export of infringed counterfeit goods, locking in new methods and new channels for infringed counterfeit goods, launching targeted crackdowns to protect intellectual property rights, combat the export of infringing counterfeit goods as well.

 

During the special operation, China Customs will continue to strengthen the supervision of infringing goods exported overseas including Malaysia in all freight channels. Under this action, if the customer’s goods are found to be infringing, they will be seized, the customer will be fined, and may be criminally liable.

 

Secretly transporting contraband (Note 2) is illegal. If found, the person will be severely punished by relevant departments and might need to face criminal penalties. Pure electric hazardous goods such as power banks and electric vehicle batteries are forbidden to use air-freight channel, but the customers are advised to ship by sea, otherwise, the goods will be confiscated!

 

Statistics show that in the first two months of this year, China Customs seized 6,280 batches of suspected infringing goods, an increase of 2.37 times compared with last year. Therefore, our company reminds all customers to verify whether the items are counterfeit goods or contraband before shipping, otherwise, all consequences will be borne by the customers.

Note 1: Long Teng Operation 2021-a new special action for intellectual property protection launched by China Customs, aimed at cracking down on the export of counterfeit goods from China and strengthening the fight against infringement.

Note 2: Contraband-items that are prohibited from being exported from China to Malaysia, such as vaccines, cigarettes, alcohol, gasoline, diesel, guns, knives, swords, corrosive liquids, etc.
